Siman Chen

As an artist, I work in sculpture, performance, photography, and video. I often deal with the relationship between everyday experiences and people. The contradiction between the visual symbols of everyday objects and the language of materials always makes me think. I came to Germany in 2020, where new life experiences and cultural differences opened up my horizons again. I faced a lot of new challenges in Germany, but at the same time the unfamiliar environment was very exciting, and I started to experiment with ways of expression that I hadn’t tried in the past, such as performances, public projects, etc. In the process of creating my work, I wanted to create something more than just an object. In the creation process, I want to find my way to talk to the world.
